She chose to keep her eyes covered with a blindfold throughout her married life, sharing the darkness of her husband, King Dhritarashtra. Surrounded by her sons, Gandhari cared deeply for her family and hoped they would grow with strength and wisdom. Among the Kauravas, Duryodhana would later become the eldest and most influential prince, shaping many important events of the Mahabharat.
